# Organizations

> One home for your institution, club or business: every circle, member and event under your own brand.

An organization brings your circles, members and events together in one place. It's built for groups that run many communities and many events: alumni associations, clubs and societies, event planners and venues.

## What's inside an organization

| Part | What it is |

| **Circles** | The groups inside your organization, such as batches, sections, committees or audiences. Each circle has its own members, posts, polls, surveys and events. |
| **Events** | Events inside a circle, plus one-off events that belong to the organization but not to any one circle. |
| **People** | Admins and managers who run the organization, and the members in its circles. |
| **Organization Dashboard** | One view of every circle and event, with a list of what needs your attention. |
| **Broadcasts** | Messages to the members of the circles you choose. |

## What your organization gets

## Your workspace, ready to go

Your organization is more than a list of events. It's a **workspace**: your members, circles, events, messages and history, all in one place and under your brand.

In an organization it reaches across the whole workspace: every circle, event and broadcast. Connect Claude or ChatGPT and there's nothing else to install or configure. Open a chat and start asking:

* "Create a circle for the 2015 batch and invite these 40 alumni."
* "Set up our annual meet as a registered event for 300 people, with approval."
* "Which circles have been quiet this month?"
* "Draft a broadcast to all sections about Sunday's AGM."

## Who does what

The person who creates the organization becomes its first **admin**. Admins invite other admins and managers.

* **Admins** have full access to every circle and event in the organization.
* **Managers** manage only the circles and events they create or are assigned to.

  A person can belong to only one organization at a time. To create or join a different one, they first exit their current organization.

## Your workspace speaks your language

Each organization picks its type when it's set up, and the workspace relabels itself: circles become batches at a college, sections at a club, guest lists for a planner and audiences at a venue.
